LO3 P4: Be able to repurpose content and create the personal media profile

While studying my course I have had to do a lot of practical work to use as evidence or as a final product. It has given me many skills in photo editing, video editing and sound editing. I have created a logo for a website that was centered around Anime, to complete this task I had to use Adobe Photoshop 2020 to edit my graphic, the editing consisted of using things like the gradient tool to give the text of the logo a gradient and the ruler tool to make sure the text was in line with the image I chose for my logo. Then once I was done I exported it as a .PNG, this is because the logo had to be transparent on the website. Once I chose to file I then changed the image size, the main reason I did this was so the logo would fit onto my website and it also reduces the file size. I changed the width of the image to 789 px (pixels) and the height to 526 px, this then reduce my image size from 180.1 KB to 63.3 KB.

Another piece of work I did was when I was on work experience at Sine FM, I was tasked with creating a short promotional film that would be showed to sponsors for the radio station. Although they didn't have the software such as Adobe Premier 2020, so I had to edit the promo on iMovie which was rather hard to cut the video in places I wanted to cut it. After all the editing I then exported the video as a .MOV  and the file size was 886.52Mb, this was the smallest I could compress it to for it to fit onto a blog. Although the file size is a bit high it still manages to load and play easily.

The next piece I worked on during my time at college is a website for my interactive media unit, I settled on the idea of creating an anime news website. while creating my unit I had to compress graphics which is what I have stated in my first paragraph and after I completed the website I then entered it into another website which calculates the size of the website. As you can see below that the size of the website is 449.988 KB which is close to a rather large website with a lot of content, for example to this a regular small website is usually around 12KB.
